    Need advice mystic 29

My wife bought me a mystic 29 for fathers Day and so far I love it. I find it extremely stable (just don't run head on into strong wind or it becomes a rc airplane) and very fast. I'm wondering if any one has any suggestions for simple mods that can improve this boat even more. I'm not looking to change motors or etc I don't want to go 600 mph just looking for the simple things like maybe a good all around prop brand and pitch, trim settings, battery placement.. Anything you guys who have this boat have tried with good results. While I have been into rc off road trucks for many years I'm new to boats
And would be gratefull for any advice you can give. I also have a supervee 27 I bought off kijiji that was new in the box ( thinking of turning it into a semi submersible since the design seems to be almost there already) and a mini alligator tours swamp boat (I won't even comment on this one its that much of a dissapointment) all I can say about those 2 is I will never buy anything made by aquacraft again. But in the end I love my Pro boat and would like to make this amazing machine even better!

The SV27 has been a great starter FE boat for thousands of folks and was very successful for AquaCraft - what about it don't you like?

Props are very difficult to give advice on dependant on your goals....If I were in your shoes I would buy a prop ballancer ....Kintec make a very good one and buy a brass prop of the same diameter as you already have and possibly a more agressive pitch, then sharpen and ballace that prop......Welcome to the world of FE boating!!!

Yeah the swamp boat has been demoted to rescue / tug boat service and it seems to fit that role surprisingly well. The sv leaks like a screen door.. It's rather unstable but I suppose that's the nature of a v hull. Sv needs a fair bit of work out of the box before it's ready to run... Needs the antenna relocated and the canopy sealed. Needs alot of sealing work on the rear end as well. My sv started cracking along the back just above the rudder from one side to the other. My mystic on the other hand needed nothing before I ran it. After floating upside down for 10 minutes while drifting back to shore there wasn't a single drop of water inside. It hasn't developed any stress cracks.. Just seems the mystic is a far better built boat then the sv and given they retail for the same price rtr I think pro boat wins hands down

I have an aquacraft motley crew, which is very similar to the geico. As far as mods go, just upgrade prop, blueprint the hull, and adjust. This should yield great results without going too overboard.

I think im going to start off with a new prop. My local hobby shop has the grim racer props the one im looking at is a 3 bladed metal 42X55 but im not sure if its going to be a improvement. My boat takes off like a rocket and i honestly wouldnt mind giving up a little acceleration to gain some top end speed. Let me know if you guys think this grim prop will achieve that or any alternative props you can recomend.

As I stated before do your own prop work or buy from some members on this forum who modify standard props as they have a wealth of knowledge, and again state your goals....run time...speed in actual mph/kmh...what is your present prop....batteries...etc. ....and do not believe in many cases what your local hobby shop tells you. RTR boats are built to design, speed and cost issues.

the grimracer 42x55 is a great overall prop for this boat...cant really go wrong with it. It will give you more top speed, but you need to sharpen and balance it
