Can you reuse a prop shaft?

I have a couple of .150 flex shafts that I snapped. I built them using Loctite 603.
Is there any way to save and reuse the prop shafts?
    Will heat break them loose?
    Thanks,
    Rich

yes you should be able to do that.
Heat them up with a torch (try not to heat the propshaft to much)
Loctite will start to drip out/burn and it should pop out (keeping propshaft up, flex down)

Roughen up the innerside of propshaft with grid 80 sanding paper or something like that, clean it and use it again!

    Grtz,

I just did this with two different propshafts/flex's after my loctite job broke loose.

I used a proper size drill then to knick/clean out the crap. Spend some extra time with it to make darn sure its all cleaned out. I then used brake cleaner. For the flex I used a stiff stainless steel wire brush and really made sure it was all off it to.

Yes as said you use a torch & keep the heat on the stub & not direct on the flex, when you twist the flex after heating to break the bond twist the flex clockwise so as not to undo the direction of the flex wind. Opposite applies if its a right hand flex as well.

I use the green bearing retainer and when I need to replace the flex I use a tourch also and the flex blows right out of the stub shaft.
I have never as of yet lost a prob due to the loctite letting go.
