Both company's are coming out with new boats or have new boats out already, who is going to come out on top? Proboat has come out with lots of new boats and electronics but that also pushes the selling price up. Just seeing what people think, I have always owned proboat but the newer pricing might be sending me to take a look at aquacraft, never owned one.
Whos going to come out ahead with their new boats- proboat or aquacraft?

They both have great boats. My eye tells me the Mystic/Geico/Blackjack handles better than a Motley and that the Revolt handles better than an Impulse. Still comes down to tweaking though. Each can be be made to run well.
Sure is an exciting time to be playing with boats aint it?Noisy personComment

Terry, you obviously haven't actually driven a Motley. But the MG is more attractive in looks, which is important to many folks. I have not seen an Impulse on the water but the Revolt is a home run. Regardless, both companies have designed and produced great RTR boats while meeting a decent pricepoint. Sure, sometimes quality has suffered but both firms have worked hard to overcome their issues. Compared to RTRs from a decade or more ago, these are outstanding products.

I don't own a Motley. That's true. It's the eyball test. There are at least 4 of them in our club. Although..........I'm faster but they keep finishing so which is better? haha I suppose the fact that I'm faster but they finish may have nothing to do with the performance of either boat. In the right hands they're pretty evenly matched.
If you compare any of these to a Traxxas Villian for instance they're light years ahead.Noisy personComment

Why don't these companies do a hull and hardware version? Surely that would then appeal to more boaters as most hard core people or people that have quite a few boats would be interested in this type of package. I know you can just buy the hull but as a hull plus hardware that would be very appealing.Comment

Owning both the Impulse 31 and the Revolt, I have to say in their stock set up, you can't go wrong with either, the Impulse has a bit more freeboard and is only about a 29"hull with a 2" (or so) overhang.
The Impulse seems a bit on the porky side, which is not a bad thing always, theres less flex on the hull. The Revolt, with a decent cut prop becomes a competitive race boat fairly easily and handels more "Delta-Force" like. The Impulse seems to be more SV-27ish in its handeling characteristics as the speed increases. Just my opinion.....
I've got a 200Kv Leapord in my Impluse now running on 4S2P and while its cometitive speed wise as a P-Mono, it can't handle the rough water the way the DF 33`s can that I race against.
With either of the manufacturers, you can`t go wrong....both offer great support and similar quality...
Now if Venom can get their act together on a 4S boat then things would be even more interesting.....Grand River Marine Modellers
