I recently purchased a Leopard 3650, 2700kv motor from OSE and it included a free water jacket. When I ran my boat, water leaked out the rear of the jacket around the set screws that hold the end bell of the motor on. Nothing is wrong with the o-rings and the water jacket cannot be repositioned because it is the very same length as the motor. The end bell set screws in the motor can are not machined well enough for the water jacket o-ring to seal around. Do i need to purchase another shorter water jacket ?

Thanks Steve. I really appreciate it. I don't want to sound like I am complaining because you are such a great asset to our hobby. Please check it out and let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks DaveComment

I just tested one out. The jacket needs to hang a bit over the rear of the motor.
Seat the rear/wire side oring after the screws and it will seal fine. I need to work on getting the shorter jackets.Steven Vaccaro

If I do that then the o-ring is only on the can about 1/32 of an inch. Will the pressure of the water blow it off the end?Comment
