    The Most "fun" boat you run??

    Ok guys many of you will understand where I am coming from when I say this hobby has gone from bein a bit of fun to a hell of a lot of money sat on the water which you pray doesn't burst into flames or sinks before the LVC kicks in on your last set of batteries!

    My question is if you could only have ONE boat purely for fun which one would you choose and why.

    If i had to keep one out of my fleet it would be my 4082 4s2p Pursuit. Perfect size, turns on a dime and hauls butt, its my "basher", we set up bouys and race 'em real hard and come back with scars every time.............its a blast
    NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

      That depends on the "level" you are on.
      For me at this moment would be the Samurai Cat (Ten Shock) from Minicat sold by Jim. I have two. The one I put an UL-1 motor just sreams. Why? the boat is well designed, needs no adjustments ( for that matter you can't make an adjustment). Got to admit the maker figured that one spot on! The only things are motor and prop and if you consider good batteries a mandatory. Hatch is easy to tape, and the boat is not too big, easy to transport.
      Having said that, as I "dump" more and more money in this hobby, I will have another all time favorite sooner or later.
      Some of my boats: DF 45 Sniper with Neu 2230 and Shultz ESC ( 12s ), Phil Thomas Hydro 45 with Neu 2215, DF26, MissGeico, Pursuit, KOS P1 and C1.
      The "Big Guns" are serious equipments but intimadating when it comes to transporting them, love them but just don't get to run them on a regular basis.
      The KOS C1 is more of a shelf queen since the looks is so nice.
      Pursuit, MG and P1 are all fun, but at the end of a day, the Samurai brings the grin factor in high.

        Titan 29 running PB 1800kv spec power, or my first release SV 27, just can't kill that thing, still using the NIMH esc!
        If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

            my HPR 06 "Repsol"

            --> strong hull, already had a lot of flips
            --> 5 years old
            --> overall around 400 runs
            --> runs either on water or snow
            --> with 5 year old Kokam 5000 30C's and around 320 cycles still ~80mph peak

            regards,
            Manuel

            EDIT:
            A single motor H&M Drifter S would also be something I might try once again (already had two). Something in the 70mph range with a Prather S215.

                    i think i would like my tiny little minimono if it ran for more than one run without a failure, its esc is a pos.....prop shaft is a pain too, but its so much fun driving something so small and fast, turns in its own length. for now ill take my TT desperado jr. all my boats are cheaper models as i dont want to drop too much coin on a boat, but having 4, i could have just bought one big gasser, lol

                      My (and son's) fleet consists of

                      Toysport syncron- flood chamber (new)
                      Toysport triton-flood chamber (very old used)
                      Woodstuff OPC tunnel (used)
                      Tenshock mono1-flood chamber (used)
                      1/10 scale shovelnose hydro (new)
                      and a rescue boat

                      If I had to pick a single boat I'd have to say the Triton... the thing is built like a tank, runs super stable, and the flood chamber makes it almost bullet proof.
                      I just ran the 1/10 scale shovel for the first time and that was a kick in the pants-- but nerve racking... lots of custom parts to worry about. The syncron is a close second place... the benefit of this boat is it only needs 4S1P vs. the triton which is a 4S2P boat.

                        I'd have to say my mincat hydro. It's reliable as a rock and faster than anybody expects it to be.

                          So far I'd have to say my CF Twin Shocker.It's been a trooper from 20' in the air hitting shore to not hooking up cooling correctly to one ESC.OOPS.

                              Agree, although my sv27 is currently indisposed due to hitting rocks at speed after servo gears let go on a turn.
