    Big electric project & presentation

Hello guys, i'm Mario from Italy and i'm into gas boats until now, but my next project will be an electric on a medium-big size hull. I will start it this winter but not decided yet which hull, in order of wish these are the 3 candidates:
1- MHZ Hunter Fountain, 2- MHZ GTX Outerlimits and 3- MHZ Popeyes Fountain Cat Killer, in all cases it will go with z-drives, so if someone has experience with some of these boats, i will be grateful if you put some pics or give me some opinion, thanks.

Here is a video of my actual modification project of an 84 Apache, it will be finished soon

    Regards

Have you contacted MHZ if their new Z-Drive can really handle the power needed for MHZ Popeye CatKiller?

On the MHZ website it states 8hp which is about 6kw. I've once seen an electric MHZ Popeye, it had an amazing 240 (!) SubC cells inside and was powered by four Plettenberg 370/50/AS1 P4.

What motor/ESC combo was in your mind?

        regards,
        Manuel

Thanks guys. Manuel, Just to clarify, here in europe the popeyes is the 65" hull and the znetix is the 96", same design, maybe you are talking about the 96 one.
Here in this video, you can see plettenberg motors & z-drives in action, so i think they can handle big power.
Being this my first electric boat, (i'm into big gas boats) i think i can start with leopard 5692 or 5698, what do you think?

            Regards

Ah, okay here that hull is called "Hunter" and the Big One is the Popexe Znetic.

For the video: I know that boat, already have seen it running. It was originally built by Achim Kurreck, I think in 2004 or 2005. Would have to look it up.

As a cheap replacement for these Plettenbergs I'd go for a set of TP 5850 motors, they should do the job.

                  regards,
                  Manuel
