Cooling Jacket Help- won't go on

I picked up a new 6L and an aluminium cooling jacket here at OSE. I sprayed the heck out of it with WD40, managed to get one end of the jacket on once, could not get the 2nd oring to go without popping out of the groove. I tried it from both ends of the can. Any tricks or ideas? Would it help to heat the jacket a little and cool the motor? Thanks,
    Kevin

I have used a hair dryer on mine to help with the installation. It does help. Plus I use dish soap as a lubricant.

Is that the Feigao 540L and the anodized black aluminum water jacket?

It's a 540L and the silver aluminium jacket. I've used the black ones with no problem installing. I'll give the hairdryer a try. Thanks

I use silicon shock oil to get mine seated. Put the motor in the freezer for a tick then hit the jacket with a dryer.

the grooves on the 'silver' jacket seemed (to me) to be not as deep as the original ose jacket. I too found it tricky to get on the motor(iirc what worked was dish detergent/water (80% 20%) and a twisting/push motion)
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in

First make sure your motor is out of the boat, I just installed one of the aluminum water jackets on my boat with the motor in place (bad, bad, bad do not try this at home or any where else!!) and I was lucky not to fry my whole boat it took on a lot of water!!! so I inspected closely and the o ring had slipped out of the groove, and yes it was tough getting it on but perseverance paid off. what I did was lubed the motor with a thin film of grease, and the o rings also (thin means thin everyone) then the first end slid right on the second was a little tricky but if you're lubed up properly you can rotate the water jacket as you push it on and it should rotate relatively easy but watch that o ring it may want to slide out of that groove, make sure you have lubed the edge of the motor you are pushing on that seemed to help me. no leaks no squeaks, one very cool motor, and if you do miss a slipped o ring and fill your boat with water get EVERYTHING UN plugged and shut off you are done for the day dry it all out in the sun on your dash board (ESC servo receiver ect.) I waited two days before trying it and I still have a good esc and everything else (I lucked out) and esc exploded on me once, I thought I had lost my boat for sure, but my boat must have 9 lives cause it lives. I hope this helps

I use Tri-flow, but all these suggestions should work. Did you have any luck?

If you still have no success after all these good suggestions do what I had to do to fit an OSE jacket onto an Ammo.
                    a) Remove the O rings and check that the jacket will fit over the motor without them.
                    b) If step 'a' is possible it is likely that the O ring groove is not deep enough or the O ring is just too fat, or both.
                    c) Install slightly thinner O rings.
I found on the OSE jacket that the O rings are just under 2mm thick ( probably an imperial size but I think in metric ) so I went to my local seal shop who found me some that were only 1.5mm thick, which allowed the cooling jacket to fit perfectly.
                    Problem solved.
                    Graham.

Really? I have an Ammo and the OSE jacket. I pull it off and put it on regularly without changing the o-rings. Just a bit of lubricant and a few seconds.

No luck so far, I've spent several frustrating hours, tried cooling the motor, heating the jacke, soap, wd40, just not working. It seems that after the 1st time the rings come out, they alway want to come out. I haven't tried the vasoline or smaller diamater o-rings yet.
