Question on 36 inch tummel hull.

I just got a 36 inch tunnel hull cheap and in pretty good shape, it needs some sealing at seam around the boat, the top and bottom halves, what do I use that can be sanded down after? Its a pretty big tunnel, can I put a inrunner in it, stuffing tube, strut, rudder, etc. Instead of a outboard leg. theres alot of space for stuff, probally would have to make a wooden box to keep stuff dry, has anyone done this before?

Some folks have converted OB tunnels into inboard boats, but it is not always a good conversion. A lot depends on the hull design, some need to have most of the weight in the rear which can be tough to do with an inboard. As for seam repair, it is always better to patch the seam on the inside; outside repairs often break open again. A few photos would help us to help you.

One of my buddies runs a Dumas hotshot 7.5 with a hyperformance 7.5 leg on it, either a 4074 or 3674. Still getting the new boat bugs worked out but it's running fast. It's a 6s setup. About 36" long or so.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I guess a leg would be the way to go, I dont know who made the hull, but it is 36 long by 15 wide, not a hole in it, would the OS lower be ok, or do you need a bigger one with a 36 inch hull? I am gona put up some pics, maybe someone will know what the hull is?

A graupner GTX-800 outboard would be plenty powerful enough for a 36 inch hull. But if your looking for extreme speeds, go with a cut down K&B from BBY http://www.bbyracing.com/elechardware.asp and mount a brushless on it!

I am not going nitro, I am going brushless, are some lowers better for a more powerfull motor, can you get a larger lower, like a 7.5 I guess, and put a brushless on it, or are the os and hyperformance legs ok for a 36 inch hull?

This is what I would stick on it probably, with a boat that size I wouldn't run a 3.5 drive. Tunnel hulls are sensitive to prop setback from the transom, going with a smaller drive than the boat was designed for may lead to very hard to sort tuning problems.
They make an electric motor adapter for that drive so it's a simple bolt together.

Where do I get the adapter I didnt see it at the site you gave me? Is it a special one for the 7,5 lower?
