That hull is one of the myrrid of splashes of the H&M Agitator hull, a pretty good design. I have one sold by Skunkworks. Your motor/ESC/battery choice is a pretty good one for a practice boat, you can build a pretty nice running one although we don't know the size of the motor. Hopefully it has a 36mm or 40mm diameter can of decent length. As for prop size, an Octura x445 would be safe on either motor with speeds in the mid-40s. With a 40mm can you should be able to go to an x448 (or x648 maybe)....watch temps at first. This is not a very good turning hull without slowing down for the turns - not such a bad thing. A long rudder helps the turning and prevents hooking.

Thanks for the info. I have a few parts on order and a larger rudder is one of them, an ose-8057. The motor is a 3674. I have new motor, esc, and servo mounts coming to replace the balsa wood. I also have a new 1/4'' stuff tube and .150 flex shaft. The previous owner had one of the batteries melt down so I have some cleaning to do and have to remove the melted velcro straps. (Have
to love the smell of cooked lipo) Everything will be new except the motor, esc, and the servo. I was hoping to get it to 50mph, but mid 40s will do."There's nothing else I really want to do other than get up and build boats." - Mike FioreComment

Well, you can use that esc but, you cannot push it to limits like a Turnigy, Castle, etc..
Yes use an external UBEC, cheap and helps these Suppo esc's from going up so fast.
You will eventually need a better quality controller since most of these go poof eventually. They use bulk bins of capacitors and if yuo have a bad one when there are only two there, it can make for a weak esc.Nortavlag Bulc
