P hydro Strut placement question?

I'm wanting some feedback regarding whether to center the strut or to slightly off center when mounting? I've seen some do and others don't?

What hull are you running? I have a Insane FE30 Sport hydro and two JAE riggers. One is custom for record trials and all my boats have the strut dead center.

I'm almost finished with the ML Boatworks GP335. I friend of mine has his mounted a little off centered and didn't know what the advantage is? I have the Insane FE30 as well but I didn't do the build on it but the strut is centered. What's with the off center
mounting???
