you talking p limited sport or unlimited p sport hydro?
My take:
PLSH
I have heard the wips are like ferrarris - you gotta lot of tuning to do and if water conditions are always changing, this could be challenging
I have a stealth, I am still getting her tuned up, very stable but I am still trying for the extra 5mph to be faster than my buddies FE30
I have no experience with the MLB 20 - although would bet it will be a serious contender.
Unlimited PSH:
I have a MLB GP335 and am duly impressed! It has the length and stability to maintain serious race speeds at surprising stability. I have yet to race it more than a lap, but had significant progress yesterday in 2-4" chop with 15mph side winds. Corners very reliably and is, as Jay Turner says, "a real pleasure to drive".
The only possible contender would be a whip, but these will be challenged by rougher race water, so again relying on successful tuning ability.
Can I vote for all of the above? Any of those can win on any given Sunday.
The Thomas is faster on our pond lately but who knows next week it might be an Insane or a Whip. I do like the way the Thomas runs on the water though. Sort of airy.....I guess. I'm getting ready to perform some open heart surgery on my little Whip to try to eek some more speed out of it.
If you want to race Unlimited PSH, have a look at our hulls. the Aussie Hydros 33, its is 33.5 inches long is has a lot of room inside to work with.
these hulls are epoxy hulls.
Just recently this year we took 1st place at the Australian Nationals, running against a lot of whiplash's, some of which are modded to 33" long and also against some PT SS21.
we have had Quite a lot of success with this hull.
