    Bullet Connectors

I am looking to convert all my mis-matched motor electrical connectors to 1 size bullet. My question is on the brushless bullet connectors, to determine the size do you measure the ID of the female connector? Most of the males seem to have a "spring" type set up to ensure a tight friction fit in the female and it doesnt look like measuring anything on them would be accurate.

I cannot answer the question because as you said I did not measured anything exactly as 3.5mm or4 mm etc.. What I noticed is that the 3.5mm are shorter in length than the 4mm. If your system draws large amps (over 60) go for 4mm and over (4, 5.5, 6). The bigger the better.

Interestingly enough, the 6 mm connectors generally have slightly less surface area than the 5.5 mm and about the same resistance. But the 6mm work better with larger wires and some ESCs come with them (Schulze 40.160, etc).

Brian Buaas had some MONSTER 8 mm connectors that are just the ticket for high amp installations. They are something to see!!

Connectors are sized based on the ID of the female side.
      Don't get me started

offhand I would go buy the amp rating of your esc's(majority) under 80amps 4mm work well, <=120 5.5mm, over 120 6mm
