Help me decide what to do...

    So I already have 2 3s 3300mah lipos, seaking 200 amp esc and a tacon 4465 13t 1400kv.

I am trying make something fast and safe (no fires!).

I am tossed between converting an aquamarine scorpion from nitro to fe. Has all the running gear but I need to replace stuffing tube. Re glass tge stern from the exhaust. Glass the hatch to seal it and then glue and glass all the new supports.

My second option is to just use everything I got and make a rigger. But with what I have what am I looking at speed wise and run time wise. I don't know what prop to get either

You're going to need some new lipos.
Not enough mah to run anything but 3s2p. (11.1 volts, 6600 mah) At that voltage, 1400 kv is way too low.
At 6s1p (22.2 volts, 3300 mah), you wont have enough capacity nor available amps from your packs to run 6s.

Do I need new lipos or just get two more and run four packs?

You're going to have a hard time finding a cooling jacket for that motor.
2 more of the same packs would be good for 6s 6600 mah, which should work.
What is the c rating? How big is your boat?

40c rating on the 3s 3300mah. I also have the motor mount kit for.

So here you can see what I'm working with. The hull will need to have the rear end patched up from the exhuast. The hatch needs a few patches from the vent and exhuast. Sealing tape will see it up nice. I have all the pieces to glue in the motor supports and mount. I am going to remove the two support beams and move them more inward in the hull. but even where it sits my batteries fit. But I need more room for foam. There is way more then enough room for the batteries. The cooling jacket fits perfect, just need some o-rings for it. I have the fittings. The stuffing tube and shaft are going to need something. I plan on getting that hack job of a mess out of there. I think the flex shaft is usable, but the stuffing tube needs something. right now it's just a brass tube with the shaft in it. No bushing, grease or anything. So obviously water will pour right in. My concern is that do I have the right stuff? Is what I have going to make this thing scream (with the two additional batteries), or should I scrap this hull and put everything into an outrigger. I more or else don't want to spend a ton of money and just have a boat that will haul !!! in a big circle. Pretty much always calm lake.

so what did you guys think I should do from my pics? I know I need to more lipos, but is the motor I have any good? I do want to have a nice run time will being fast. I'm lost with I need to do with the stuffing tube and if my motor is going to work or not. Also the prop. I'm dying to get this this going. I did just aquire a traxxas blast that runs great. New battery in it and I have a recovery boat. I am just stuck getting this big boat done.

I used to have a scorpion that I ran with a 7.5cc nitro motor, back when they came out, way ,way back! Then it was the fastest thing in the club.
I wouldn't rip out the rails as they are a factory install and in mine if I remember right they were glassed right in.
No idea what to do with it other than that I don't run big electrics, only 4s spec stuff.
I owned one in the mid to late 80's.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

That's kinda of what I am contiplating. If its worth doing anything or should I just get a new hull. I think my strut is usable but the stuffing tube is going to need to be replaced. I had gotten tgat motor because it was recommended on here but I guess it's no good.

I am still confused as to what I should do. Lol. I know I need two more batteries but should I also dump this motor in favor of a new one?

Probably be a fast reliable setup on 6s running on of the longer Castle 15 series motors.
I would look at a HV esc, one of the reasons I stick with 4s is I'm not running a low voltage esc at it's limits.
A pair of high quality 6s 5000mah lipos or 4 3s packs depending on the layout.
Would be pretty pricey but reliable, I'd have to look into which esc I'd choose.
I honestly can't remember a setup using the motor you have, doesn't mean it won't work, just means you are kinda on your own as far as propping it for good reliable performance.
Now you have me thinking about a Scorpion 21! You might want to contact Aeromarine and see if they'll sell you an uncut hatch. I'm positive I've seen a build where the person had this done with a Scorpion.
The 21 will have to wait, I have 4 partially built boats and am still tuning last winters boats.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
