    HET Typhoon EDF engine

Yes, I did the search but not that much showed up. Might be because it's aimed for EDF-duty

Thinking of putting something more unusual in my newly acquired RCMK Flying Cat. I've run the Leopards and Turnigys (3674, 4074, 4082, 5682 and 5692), can't justify the cost of Neu's and why not plant a HET Typhoon 700-98 670 or 780kv in the middle of the cat, run it on 12s and see what happens? It should be able to get things going pretty well? If I remember correctly 6BOOST had a magical moment when trying out his Turnigy 3994 850kv and this s*cker is even bigger!

Its huge - 39 x 98 mm (thats 1,54" x 3.9"), 8 mm shaft, 4-pole, the EDF guys seems to like it, it handles 2400 watts & 4800 burst, it fits under the hatch and I can use Neu/CC's waterjackets. It also is $150, which is half of what closest comparable Neu (1527) will fetch.

    Any opinions?

Well, just ordered a 780 kv 700-98 and I'm gonna run it in my Flying Cat. This will be interesting.
