    Can't Make My Mind Up

    Down to 4 Boats :
    Proboat Miss Geico 29
    Proboat Mystic 29
    ProBoat Impulse 26
Genesis 900 adding a radio esc and servo..well just esc and servo have the radio lol

just like to get your guys pros and cons if any on either these boats.I know the mystic and miss geico are the same boat just a different paint skeem. 3 cats and 1 Vee hull...Me and my dad use to do nitro boats years ago just thought i might get back into it..Buddy of mine at work Has the a Spartan talks about all the time but i want something i can upgrade at a later time but still run with the Spartan.. I am sure i can upgrade one of these later and still be under or maybe a touch above what i can pay for the spartan alone...Thanks for your time

This is more reliable, faster, stronger, and needs no upgrading. And, yes, this will always spank a Spartan.

Great boat, but only turns well to the right...what are you wanting the boat to do? What conditions would you be running in?

If your only going to go with the ones listed I would buy a genesis. I love mine.

Finally some help from Doby and James. Hey Stitch, what are looking to get out of this? Reliable, mid 30's out of the box, lipo setup? The impulse 26 is a brushed very entry level boat.

If you are looking at a mid level lipo for various types of water conditions I would think the Mystic, Geico and genesis are what you should focus on. The cats are stable and corner excellent. If you want to start your FE career with a build, do the genesis. If you are starting from scrath and are a little unsure/uneducated (with no disrespect, just takes time to read and learn) I would go with the RTRs, either Mystic or Geico. Both RTR so you can run right out of the box, but still have plenty of room to upgrade.

If I had to start from scrach today, I would focus on the Moltey Crew, Geico and Mystic for research.... And flip a coin between the Motley Crew and the Geico..... But check out each forum and see for yourself. But I would recommend not doing a fresh build (genesis) for a starter. Especially if you have no lipo or existing radio gear and are new to brushless and lipo technology...

                    Sean

                        Yep, great boat.

I do love my Mystic too though. Fun driver.

I just noticed the post from Petej on the pictures forum. Did you mean the Impulse 31, not the 26. Big difference as far as hardware and electronics.... Imp 31 is good brushless boat. Imp 26 a brushed motor setup with beginner level everything. The Imp 31 is a comprable boat as far as looks to the Spartan, but leaps and bounds betting in quality hardware and electronics. If you are hell bent on a mono hull, Impulse 31 is a viable option. But the Cats will hadle better in chop... and would still recommend teh MC or Geco.

I still love my ul1. It's exciting to drive. Also as rummler pointed out, the new revolt 30 looks badass
