1)Hex speed control users, are those things water proof? and how do they perform compared to the Hydra's?

2) Are they non BEC or BEC and if so how to set it up?

3) what's the best receiver to use in these boats, I cant find an Rx 100 from futaba. I have one that will run even if its wet so i guess that its the most reliable. Anyone know of a waterproof receiver?

4) Anyone running a hydra 120 on 12 cell nicads/nimhs? Have any pictures of connections soildered on.

I have run them more than most guys. The are NOT water proof. I have got mine wet a few times. If you hang it up for the day and let them dry for a few days you will be good to go. They have a bec and you can use it up to 12 cells or 4s. After that you will need a rx pack. They perform like a hydra but are not as good a controller. With a CC controller you get way better factory support. I suggest of you have the money but the hydra. If you are on a tight budget be sure and order 2 HEX 120s. It's nice having a back up for mistakes and so on.

The CC Hydra will have much smoother throttle respose compared to a HTX120... The CC is also waterproof and has the BEST factory support in the business!

Use Corrosion X on your recievers and they will take a "dunk" and keep on going!!

Corrosion X??? is that a spray or baggy? please expand, where to get it from, how much? etc

I just bought brand new receivers, is it safe to spray it on them even before first installation?
