    7xl toasted any good suggestions

the other day I was running my df 26 and maybe propped up a tad too high and when I came in there was smoke coming from the water cooling exit.I think the 7xl in it went poof.now im looking for a 4 pole motor with maybe a touch less kv any suggestions? leopard etc. Hmmm I hope the smoke wasnt from the esc it was a t180 but the unit didnt smoke or burn up at all the motor just kinda spools way slower than it used to and the arming beeps from it are muted now...odd.

What Size prop were you running driftah?
We don't run anything bigger than a 437/3 blade prop or a 438/2 blade on the 7Xl in that size hull.
An 8Xl or a 4 pole 3674 motor in the 2000kv to 2200kv range works well in that hull. A 440/3 would be the biggest prop we run in that size hull on that sort of motor..
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

The Leopard motors are about as cost effective and as bad-@$$ as it gets. Steve/OSE has some 3674 sizes in stock. That's the = of a Feigao XL motor. Better then the Feigao's by a loooooooooooooooooong shot!
