    R/C Graphics

    Hi all,

I'd first like to introduce myself, my name is Chris Martino and I am the president of Raceline Digital. We typically manufacture full size hull and deck graphics and have in the past, served the R/C boating community. I have received many, many emails requesting R/C graphics so I thought it be prudent to let you all know what's up!

We removed the original R/C line of decals due to the fact that manufacturing them using the same material/techniques for the full size boats posed too many difficulties. But I am happy to say we have now re-introduced our line, this time they are thermally printed on clear, adhesive vinyl film and are die-cut on the decal edge. The color is excellent as is the durability. And as before, you can select the colors you want and sizes range from 18 - 60 inches.

Pricing starts at $30.00 USD for a set (both sides) and comes with installation guide and squeegee. Please visit us at www.racelinedigital.com for more information.

Please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong forum!

    Kind regards,

    Chris

Price isn't bad but since I do custom paint and airbrushing - I prefer that.

Do you have any R/C graphics for hydroplane boats? I have a 22 inch hydro, and thinking of my own paint job is causing me difficulties.

Do you have graphics for the deck or just the sides?

Chris thanks for stopping in and letting the guys know whats going on. A while back you emailed me some pics of your rc work. I looked and couldn't find it. Can you post those on the forum?

              Hi Guys,

Thanks for the positive, warm welcome. Let me answer your questions as best I can:

              1) I'm confident that most if not all of our listed designs can be applied to any kind of watercraft. If you need specific height or length requirements we can setup to your specs.

              2) Any of the hull designs can be made for the deck, again just specify and we can make them to suit your requirements.

              3) Printed vs Paint - apples and oranges there, our goal was to assist those not wanting to paint and I think we have gone above and beyond the call of duty for past customers and will do so again.

One thing to keep in mind is that when these decals are printed on the clear film, White boats will benefit more than colored boats. If you have a Black or colored boat we will print on opaque White film with your boat color as the background, die-cut as usual. If you want specifics you can order our color chart to compare to get the closest match. Again, we'll do our best to assist.

We are always open to helpful advice so please chime in if you have something that could improve our products.

Attached are some samples, bare in mind that these were made from the original material/ manufc specs. Some pics might not be the best in res, I'll upload from original files when I get a chance-

              Hope that helps!

How much do you think it would cost for some small lettering, maybe half inch tall by 2 or 3 inches long?

Many thanks - we use 30 inch Roland VersaCAMM cut/print plotters, a giant 30ft x 4ft long production table (mostly for full size graphics), up-to-date software and hardware. Haven't taken a shot of the production area recently, see what I can do.

In case you also own a full-size boat needing graphics, below are a few pics of some recent customers.

                    Best,

                    Chris

Lettering can be done, again you could go to our website and select from our list of available fonts and send us an email to what you need. A pure guess for something like that might be $15.00 + shipping.

                      Thanks-

Chris I have a 6x20 table, 8x14 island for the equipment and a 36 inch x 15 foot bench..I can still use some more space @ times.... I use a Gerber FX 15" thermal printer & 15 & 48 inch plotters. I've only been at it about a month. I do enjoy the work.

Sounds like a nice setup - there can never be enough space! :) Raceline has been around for over 12 years and I still enjoy my work.

My work is less interesting. I spend most of my time making steet signs & lettering vehicles. I get to draw custom stuff a couple time's a week. Ive been at it about a month now. I don't see it getting old any time soon. There are some pictures of my shop right after I set it up in the off topic Q&A.
