The only reason anyone would dog these motors at first glance is because they're made in China. If Neu released a series of motors like this guys would be all over it. And be willing to pay double... cuz hey, it's made in the U.S.

I tend to agree with you on the dual winds - I have two 3080/7Turn motors - one is in my DF Sniper in the 7T config on 10 cells and the other was in my 57" Apache in the 12T config on 14 cells up until it was replaced with a 3080/11T for a bit more speed . Even the Sniper switched over to the 12T config would net a guy over 10 minutes run time at a good sport speed running at the lake . To boil it down I really do like that option

I just wish I knew what the winds will change to from what they have posted when you change the wiring.

Does anyone know how to convert these KV's they showed on the chart? It would be nice to know if the KV goes up or down by factor of 1.73.

BTW, your thread is better because you have much experience with these size motors. I'm just getting my feet wet soon.

Gutted my 40" mono because I screwed up the CG in the build, just waiting for motor mount.

If you look at the top, there is a 528 car motir that is really the closest to the Castle 2028 since it possibly uses most internal 112mm space for windings and arm but, has only 3 wires.

        The first line.
