What side to mount gps on Genesis

Just got a new Etrex garmin to put in the Daytona and Genesis. What side do you guys recommend putting it on to minimize the added weight. Or do you guys not even notice the gps on board?

I suggest just mount it as close to your C of G point as possible, so that you don't change the existing C of G that you have been using. Mine's on the port side (for no particular reason).

Thats what I was thinking. I was acually going to strap it to the top of the battery on the right side. there is a nice area right there for it!

        Hi there
I shoved one up the front of mine, say about 2inches forward of where the hatch goes to on the Deck, and i then also put a clip around my motor bracket just incase i flipped.
I found it didnt weigh enough to make a difference though

Well found out this evening that you cannot get a signal thru a Carbon Fiber hatch on this boat. Lucky I have a standard Genesis fiberglass hatch from my other boat that I can tape on just for some quick speed runs!
