    X power 70 lasted 1 minute!!!!

We finally ran the SV27 with 12L and X power70 amp ESC with 12 IB 4200's. It ran for 65 seconds and popped. We bought this back in December and this is the first time we ran it. I am not happy at all. JUNK! running a X642 prop. Just gonna get aHydra from OSE and be done.

Sorry to tell you this but a 12l with a x642 on 12 cells will pull over 70 amps. I know they are rated @ 50 amps I have one in a tunnel and regular over 80 amps have seen 98 on my watts up on 4s lipo with a x440.

          Hi Will,
You can use the Hydra but the 12l won't be happy with that prop.
Give the x438 a try for starters, then move up if you can.

          you had the failure.

Fe Calc says the setup you used will use 100 amps.

Yeah, I downloaded the FE calc but didnt use it. I ran this motor in my 24 inch hydro with a stock SV ESC and a x442 with no problems. Oh well live and learn. I was under the assumption that the 12L would only pull 51 amps. We all know what assuming gets you. LOL

Between that and them always being right you nailed it. One of my favorite things is taking her word for it when I know I'm right. This works best when driving some where. I have drivin alomost 30 minutes out of our way just to hear the words.... Um you where right turn around. Life has it's little rewards
