    Repair kits for Neu motors?

I see a lot of kits on E-Bay for 2200kv 1515 Neu motors. New bearings and armature. They appear to be factory replacements. Anyone use them to freshen a motor and is there a source for other than the 2200KV 1Y. I have a 1515 1500KV 1.5Y that I would like to freshen as it seems a little weak. I bought it used.

Actually what you are seeing on Ebay are Castle/Neu motor rebuild kits. Not Neu Motor rebuild kits. A CC 1515 rebuild kit will not work in a Neu 1515 motor. While any rotor from a Neu 1515 will work in any Neu 1515 motor, regardless of construction, Castle only makes (or did) one winding (most if not all are Wye's) now for their larger motors. I.E. You can find a D or a Wye winding in many Kv's for the Neu's. For the Castles you can now only find one. The rotor for a Castle is slightly larger than Neu. While some may have gotten away with attempting this replacement (depending on years of manufacture) you will most likely ruin both the Rotor and Stator should you chosse to try it. Ask me how I know?

Unlike Neu motors, where the 14 series and 15 series rotors are the same size, the Castle 14 series and 15 series use different size rotors, has anyone tried a castle 14xx rotor in a Neu 14xx/15xx can? If so I would be very interested in the Kv of such a hybrid to confirm or refute my suspicions that a Castle 15xx is effectively a heavy Neu 14xx, both having less copper than a Neu 15xx, the Neu wrapping it round the same rotor for a smaller package, and the Castle wrapping it round a bigger rotor of the same magnetic power for a reduced production cost.
