"we will pass on a favorable response if ever asked about Banana Hobbies."

Well....I'll give credit where credit is due......BH did try to satisfy me....and came through with what they said they would send me.

However.....I finally got a few minutes last night to put one of the new boats together. What a pain in the butt. Things don't fit together properly. I couldn't even get the battery compartment on the radio tx open without breaking the little tab that's supposed to release it.

I can't complain about the workmanship in these things because there is absolutely NONE to complain about. What junk. Ya get what ya pay for right?

I have no idea what the quality is like of other things BH sells....however....I would NEVER buy another boat from there.

A word to the wise from a rooky who's old enough to know better.

Sorry Skipper, this sucks. I was worried when you disclosed what two replacement boats BH was sending to make you happy. The $89.00 retail price was my first clue. I didn't see this as a strong upgrade even getting two boats. That said please don't get so discouraged that this affects your over all view of the hobby and other dealers. They are not all like BH, trust me.

It is said hind-sight is always 20 - 20. This forum, as you have now confirmed, is a best source for sound trust worthy advice. The American people as a whole are too trusting and tend to believe pretty packaging and wild advertizing claims, are always true and accurate. It is our responcibility on this forum to help others learn from our bad expereinces.

          Good Luck

"So Umm,back to the big one?"

Oh yeah...the big one hasn't been forgotten. I just had a few minutes last night so decided to put one of these others together.

Unfortunately I haven't haad any time to do much with any of these things yet.....all my time has been consumed by my 30 footer

              "It is said hind-sight is always 20 - 20."

No doubt about that. Like I said...I wish I found this forum sooner. Been a great source of info...and help especially from "slash"...thanks Shawn.

When I get a chance I'll get back at all these things I have here now and see what I can do with them.

I will be blunt that boat you bought is a piece of crap...buy a used 30"and not an RTR boat from this forum and you will be a happy camper.

                      Update......

Well......my "fleet" of 4 boats is now 75% operational....sort of. Geez what junk the steering servos in these things are. But....I have 3 of 4 running.

Been so busy at the yacht club the past few weeks just haven't had time to do much with these things.

Shawn.......the original big green monster is next on the list with the parts you sent me. Be interesting to see how I make out with those far superior components I got from you. Thanks again. Will keep you posted....and holler for help if I get into trouble.
