    Propeller Torque

    Hi,

I have a 36" mono and noticed at full speed, the boat has a tendency to roll to the left slightly but is visible. I guess that this is because of the propeller torque. Has anybody alse faced this issue? I will move the weights (battteries) slightly to the right next time to see what happens.

I use a little down trim on one side of the trim tab to correct this but after getting the boat level you must re trim the hull for and aft.

Also-check to make sure your running surface is true.

Use a straight edge. Make sure the keel is perfectly straight and level. Also, use the straight edge to check the the straightness of the bottom, a few inches up from the keel. hooks/rockers in the hull should be repaired to level.

If the hull leans to the left when viewed from the stern then the cause is NOT prop torque. The hull would roll to the right, not to the left if prop or motor torque was the cause. You probably have either uneven weight distribution, a warped bottom, or if you have trim tabs they need to be re-adjusted.

            Bump, I digged this out.

I did some modifications and now the boat at full throttle is leaning and pulling to the right (looking from aft to fwd). I tried with the trim tabs (left down then right down then both down then both level) but no result. I checked the bottom and is straight. This leaning-pulling to the right is only seen at full throttle.
I contacted the person where I bought the hull from (UK) and he proposed to tilt the rudder slightly (1 degree at a time) to the right, so you look at it from behind it is not vertical but slightly tilted to the right. Has anybody heard of this before?
