How far above the bottom should prop shaft be

Hi I am building a 53" Central Rc Mystic sport and putting on the MHZ direct drives and was wonder how far from the bottom of the boat should the center of the prop shaft be. Thank You for the advice.

I disagree. On a boat that size I might run almost a 1/4" above bottom. I would assume you are using a large prop. 55 to 57MM? 3/16 would be a good start.

thanks for the info guys, I dont think I have enough adjustment to get it even with the bottom and even 1/4" is going to push it. And yes I will be running between a 55 and 65 prop. Thanks again
