    Off Set Rudder on Genesis.

Bought a used Genesis that still had the two piece flex in it. So I got a hole new strut and rudder with one piece flex from OSE.
I was setting around bored so tried to make a off set rudder bracket for it. I used the old stand off from the original strut to make the off set. Question is does it look ok or is it to far back? I like the off set it gave me but it also moved the rudder back about a inch or so.

I'd cut all you can from the "L" insert (pic #1 above the prop). Too far back & the rudder could get in the propwash. Not a good thing. JIM

        Hi,
If you have to long bolts to use for the starboard side of the strut,
I thing it would work much better their.

Thanks for the advice. I just thought with it back like that it would just give it more steering, oh well. I did cut the l-bracket down, almost a inch. Then I flipped the other one over, so now it is only 3/16" further back than it was in stock position. Does it look better now that I did that two it? Thanks.
