    1527 1y equals...

Looking for a motor to run in the Q-hydro class and thought I would see if anyone could recommend something in the same ballpark as a Neu 1527 1y? Going to be racing a Whip using 6s. I might break down and buy the Neu(I own two 1515/1521 already), just seeing if there is another close option for less dollars to consider. Thanks.

The Leopard 4092 is "close"..................you can get it in 1300kv, similar to the 1250kv of the 1y. Its 11mm shorter at 40 x 92 as opposed to 40 x 103 for the 1527, but its no slouch!!

I'd go for a bit more rpm on a hydro. A CC/Neu 1717 would be great!

I'd grab one of these. I run one in my 6S mono and It's very competitive against the boats running 1527s. Would be brilliant in a Whip 45.

We had a guy running a 1717 in our club. The boat ran really well once he found the right prop for his boat. Wish I could tell you what that was. I really don't know though.
