    Painting a fiberglas hull

Hey guys, I'm very new to boating and never painted a boat before. I have a Proboat Mystic cat that I painted black and red using an acrylic enamel. I painted the black first and when I did the red I used the green frog tape to mask off the black. Now I can see where the tape was and it left a residue on the black paint. I'm a little gun shy at this point to try anything that might total mess things up seeing how this is the third time I had to start over because of a few mistakes I made. What can I do to get rid of the tape marks before I put on the clear?
    Thanks for any helpfull suggestions,
    Bill

I would wet sand with 400 and then 600 grit sandpaper.Make sure it is wet sand paper. That should smooth it out.Luckily you used solid colours.Metallics don't like this treatment.
And welcome to the world of FE

You may get it off with alcohol if it hasn't had time to react with the paint.

thanks for the good advice in both replies. I will try the wet sanding first.
