Hey camarohrod,
I don't know what size motor you need, or feel qualified enough to suggest one. However, this site has a pretty useful tool- the Speed Calc. ( http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/conversion.htm ). Also, there are charts on fighterecat's website, if you join, under resources. -

Are you sure the prop you have is a 435? As in an Octura X435? Maybe since I dont know some other numerical designation its not what I think. But a 40" hull using a 35mm prop? I'm thinking your off by quite a bit. Another question. Is that a 36mm motor? And is the kv 2075? 4S is not too bad. 6S? Oooch. 6S on a 2075 kv motor even with a small prop. 35mm will not get you 50mph.

4 pole, much higher efficiency, and will fit right into your stock mount. The 1900 or 2200kv are what you need for 4s and the 1400kv for 6s
