    New R2 Hobbies hull

Ok there appears to be people having problems with this company but assuming they sort their act out what do people think of their new hull?

I really like it. Not that I will buy one because I have so much I just can't.

What I think they mean instead of unsinkable is, Unflipable. If you look at it's high freeboard and tall canopy, it almost looks as if they made it so it would roll righ back overso you can keep going, hence the "Unsinlable" adverp.

If I didn't have 4 hulls for LSO class I snap one up to try. When you register you get a nice discount.

I still have 2 of their hull and I swear by them where others swear at them. Thin & light yes but, my twin cat hull (not built yet) is a beautiful pull with the nicest sharpest edges and finests smoothest even level seam.

The Arrowana 31.5" I have is interesting and still unbuilt also but, not a bad pull for what I paid on sale.

I think there is a small possibility that some making orders make slight mistakes as in, after you pay in paypal, yyou need to click on the store link and return to store for the transaction to go through properly??? small possibility.

When they are on their game you get your stuff fast.

My Thoughts? Be careful what you ask for. Another plastic Chinese hull, butt-ugly with cheesy hardware. Performance? Who knows, can't even see the bottom. It isn't sold as a racer anyway, but as a "cruise". I'll not be buying one.

Agree, I'm in the same boat as Jay.
It seems to have the SV27 shape at the back which isn't the best for handling at speed. They have better shaped boats on their website. The fiberglass I have been told is quite weak and the packaging isn't that secure. I have seen a few R2hobby hulls broke in the shipping process sold on ebay as repair. Maybe Parcelforce fault in the UK ha ha.

I might get one, when/if they decide to sell it without the hardware.

@ray - the r2 twin catamaran you're building, is that the 36"? Like you I swear by their hulls. I built one myself with twin 3674's 2800 kv on 3s but decided the next day () to go 4074 2000 kv on 4s. Right now I'm waiting on the motors and looking forward to try it out. Built the smaller 32,3" cat too, with a 4082 1600 kv. Hoping on ~60 mph on both
            25" Arrowana with Etti 2970 3300kV. RCMK Flying Cat with twin HOR Outboards. 2 x SSS 4092 2140kV. Faluga 45" with Leo 56110 620 kv on 12s.
