OK, you were right, Cory! Just for the hell of it I ordered a Godspeed hull from R2hobbies yesterday (4/3/12) & paid with Paypal. Same day, R2hobbies sent me 2 emails regarding my order - one stating my order had been processed, another that my payment had been recieved.

Today (4/4/12) R2hobbies sent me another email stating they couldn't find my payment & that I needed to return to thier site to complete the transaction before they could ship my order.

I just started a dispute withR2 at Paypal this morning. I'll get my money back, but what a bunch of JERKS! Just like you said - BEWARE OF R2hobbies, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! JIM cursing:

not sure how related this is but even Steve V makes you come back to his site from Ebay and hit a button on the offshore site before the transaction is completed

Jim, I buy stuff from OSE, hobby stores all over the US & China - and I've NEVER seen a more screwed up company as R2hobbies. And, yes I returned to thier site to finish the transaction from Paypal. JIM

doing a paypal dispute isnt really a great thing to do straight away, ive done a few orders and all fine. Sure everyone here recommends the Offshore store over ANYTHING else
but its probably the last place id buy anything from because postage is $$$ from USA to australia, and usually these Chinese sellers have like $10 postage
There comes a point, in which say you need to get a strut, but arnt sure about what one to get. It might be cheaper to buy two different struts from R2 hobbies rather than one from OSE, or another seller.
There is some australian shops like RC boat blitz but shipping times EVEN in australia is terrible. ive got stuff from other countries faster than Aus post

R2hobbies update. Today, one day after I filed a Paypal dispute with them, I get an email from R2hobbies saying my order has changed from "payment being reviewed" to "packing". WTF?? My head is spinning!! JIM

Hi Jim ,

There should be no communication problem , as R2hobbies is based in Hong Kong , which I have been to two times in past , when I lived in neighboring Taiwan . Being a former Commonwealth Colony , I can assure you that there level of English is second to none . So therefore , they are either being complacent , or they rely on computers too much , as far receiving orders go ...
