    DF 26 Setup Help Please?

its a delta force with leo 2200kv on 4s1p. prop is x442.
the boat doesnt turn well at all.
i was running the batteries in the rear for the first few runs and it was aweful all around. i tried adjusting the strut, trim tabs, and turn fins, and nothing really helped.
so i moved the batteries up and it made a huge difference, but turning is still terrible.
it wants to bury the nose in when i turn and the transom bounces like crazy. i have the strut set neutral and about 4mm up. trim tabs about 1mm gap from flush and turn fins straight down.
i tried moving the turn fins up and down all directions and str8 down seems to be best.
on the straights the boat seems to be running nicely, but still struggling with turning. anyone have any advise? thanks
also the rudder is offset about an inch and has a flat bottom, if that makes a difference IMG_1891.jpgIMG_1879.jpgIMG_1851.jpg

Where is the CG, Dana? My strut is up pretty high.. maybe 1/8" up from the keel. I've ran twice now. CG at about 32%, strut neutral, and up 1/8" and tabs slightly down mellowed it right out. Our setups are very similar. I just started a new topic in the pics thread.

If your tabs have too much neg angle, it will bury the nose in the turns.

i got out today with a fresh x440/2. boat was awesome! i think the 42mm was a bit to large diameter mainly based on the fact that it handles much nicer with the smaller prop. im pretty sure it was faster too… still need to get the bow up a little in the turns, so ill back off on the trim tabs in small increments till its on point

                    Dana.
Put a 440/3 blade prop on it & you will have a more settled boat. It's a great prop for that rev range.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

I had something similar happen to me w/ my syncron-- dropped to a smaller prop with less pitch and the boat was faster-- I think with too much prop the motor can't hit full RPMs?
How's the angle of the rudder vs. the transom? Maybe you are also getting some drag or lift while turning?
