another question for you guys

Hey

I got my drive shaft kit today, and I dont really know how it goes together

1. I bought a 6mm to 1/4 coupling, and it wont lighten around the 1/4 drive shaft
2. this washer, do I have it in the right spot?
3. this plastic inside the tube...should it be loose?

1.Could be a bad collet. got a pic?
2.The teflon washer goes between the drive dog and strut.
3.Yes,it should be a little loose.You can keep it from spinning in the stuffing tube with a piece of water tubing gripped around both.

I can put the drive shaft in without even unloosing the collet

No,ur going to have to insert the flex cable from the strut up thru the stuffing tube unless you have a 2 piece drive

FYI most cameras now have a macro mode that would focus that close and give a lot sharper images

! yes,thats the flex cable.You cant install that stuffing tube or brass pipe without a bend to keep the flex cable from whipping inside of it. That means you will have to take the collet off and insert the flex cable from the strut thru the stuffing tube to the motor

I know I need to put a bend it the brass tube, but I cant attach the flex cable to the motor for some reason. The collet says it 6mm - 1/4"

The shaft on the motor is 6mm, and the flex cable is 1/4"

Can u get a better pic of the collet disassembled? Are the gaps sqeezed closed on the collet insert?

yup, there are 3 gap

That collet is stripped!!! trash it!!
