best motor for oval master

hi,21inch oval master .set up for sport whats best motor on 6-8 cells.would like at least 8 min run time.on nimh cells.thanks in advance for the help.also best size carbon fiber prop using 70 amp esc.thanks ernie.

I have set up my OM 21 for my kids to run. Probably really close to the amp draw you are looking for (8 min runtime). With that kind of runtime, a 20 amp setup is about all you can do. Not sure on the speed of the boat, but it got up on plane and was fun for them to run. Maybe 15 mph?

Nemesis 10L with an X435 3 blade. You can also probably use a a 2 blade in the x438 range as well.

For a simple sports set up I would use one of the Graupner 600 brushed motors from OSE for around $30.
They will push a 21 inch hull to 20mph on 6 cells with a 40 mm prop.
