I set mine (120s and 180s) to 3.2v per, 4 cell manual and no issues. Selecting no lvc cuts the whole protection off and any other lvc setting i.e 3.0, 3.2 ect is no completly disabled.

The nano-tech are not very good. Seems the reg plan blue turnigy packs are better. Lots of issues with my nano-techs. I own a pair of 2s 6000mah 25/50c and a pair of 3s 6000mah 25/50c and that's all ill buy, no more nano's for me.

I have the Zippy 2s 5000mah 30c. They are brand new as well as the Genesis. I'm very new to the electric world but I can already tell I like it more than the Nitro world. I've been flying a Trex 700 nitro fro years. Now that I'm into the long awaited rc boat hobby. I'm loving it! With all the crap I had totake to the flying field it is really a breath of freash air to carey very little to the lake! LOL I was sure I was forgetting something when I headed out this past weekend. Update on losing throttle...I reset the throttle last night and I have a full range of the throttle now. yay! I've ordered a 41" Fighter Cat Fantasm bare hull for a future twin build. My plans are to built a high speed cat! Thanks again guys for your helpful tips!

What settings did you use on the esc in the end to get it to work ok.

Update guy's. I ran my Genesis this afternoon... I re-calibrated the throttle to start with. I then went into the program and changed a few things. I'm running Zippy 2s 30C 5000mah x2 in series. I set the turnighy 180 to 6 cells and the lvc to 3.0v/cell. Big mistake...it had no power what so ever. I changed it to 4 cells then lvc to 2.8v/cells. It hauls A$$! My only complaint is there is a ton of torque! The boat wants to take a giant flip to the right. I'm mean jumping out of the water! Even when it settles out on a run I can see the left side pulling out of the water. I couldn't imagine putting 6s batteries in and trying to run it. How do I control the torque guy's? Also the turning radius is way off. It will rip to the right NP. But turning to the left it takes a wide turn under full power. It will flip if I turn it to the right to fast...LOL I had to get the fishing rod out today and make a long range recovery.hehehe Anyway any tips guys?

A friend of mine has a Genesis with a 4082 - 1600kv motor T180a esc on 6s & was having the boat suddenly have the rear of the boat flick round + he had to take wide turns as well. totally transformed how the hull ran by using an offset rudder, no more sudden turns when going straight & can turn the boat on a dime with no flipping as it did before with the stock inline rudder.

                    * when you set it 6s, but only ran 4s the lvc was constantly active because it was sensing low voltage. At the setting you had18v (3.0 x 6) was the the point that the lvc would engage, you only supplied 14.8v (4s), so it did it's job.

                    * jumping out of the water is not uncommon when accelerating quickly in a cat. Proper throttle management and a good cg can help with that. Decreasing the prop diameter can also help that, but you will loose top end speed.

                    * most boats turn better to the right due to prop rotation, its typical. If you kept a inline rudder and changed the motor direction and used a reveresed rotation prop the boat would turn better to the left and struggle to the right. Make sense? That why racing is right turns.

                    * the boat is very narrow and rolling over in the turns is a result of the narrowness of the hull, decrease your rudder travel

Was/am very disappointed in their voltage sag under load and I had some quality control issues. I only have the 25/50c ones, so maybe the others ones are better. I won't be buying anymore nanos though jmho... eagletree data don't lie

Wasn't terribly impressed with mine either. Though I plugged them into each other. I fried a solder tab on one of them when did that. The other one still works ok but i could see sag on my airplane with a watt meter. I'm now a fan of Gens ace, after I crashed my planed on top a 24 hour fitness doing an estimated 50 mph i still have the battery to show. The battery also sat on the roof for a couple days. Gens ace come in a metal case and i can order them monday and have em by wednesday from hobbypartz. I also like the performance. Under a 50 amp load my 4s 4000 mah packs were still holding 15.4 v. Just my .02 Just got a v4 150 amp eagle tree logger so I hope to get some real boat numbers. Not to jack the thread but what is the preferred rpm sensor to use in our application? optical, brushless, think there is one more.
