    Poor garmin 201 reception

I bought a couple of the now defunct Garmin Forerunner 201 GPS units, as well as a Garmin eTrex Ledgend C. The Legend works great when placed inside my cats, but both 201s (with differing button labels) have reception problems if inside the hull under the fiberglass hatch & I've been taping them on top of the hull. Is this a common problem or is it just me? JIM

I believe the legend c has the high sensitivity reciever where as the forerunner 201 does not.

My Garmin 201 takes a long time to aquire the signals, worst when surrounded by tall trees all around the parking lot (welcome to Atlanta) however it works fine inside my fiberglass hulls.

What dealer sells the legend C ?
Can you please post a link ?
