What is this boat? Anybody recognize? Need advise !!!

Hi. Got this cat, not sure but maybe its an Aeromarine SprintCat 31?
It measure from front tip to transom about 34 inches give or take. Its a nitro but i'm converting it to brushless. This is how i got it. see pics. 5 in rails.
All the hardware is installed minus a propeller and motor/esc/receiver.
Any suggestions what size motor, and how to mount it?????

    Thanks in advance.

    Sprintcat .40.
    Neu 1527 1y, 6s2p
    Neu 1527 1.5d 52sp X452-X455 on either
Strut 1/2" above the sponson bottoms and use an offset rudder.
Motor in front of the packs on the tunnel. End of the can almost touching the wooden cross member/bulkhead
Oh yea, and a GOOD esc!

Ryan, "Strut 1/2" above the sponson bottoms"? Not bottom of strut even with the sponsons? JIM

Correct. When even, it will try to lift the port side sponson. Raising it help keep it's butt planted much better, and keeps things nice and stable.
