Is an old DPI Hydro worth buying

A local seller has a DPI Miss t-plus 1/12 unlimited hydroplane-used ounce but without electrics-for 50.00. Have not seen it yet but it is 31" long and sounds like it has a submerged prop. Anybody familiar with this boat and would it work well with the aq bl system. Would I have to change over to a surface prop setup or will it perform well with the submerged prop. I would like to see speeds close to the supervee.

    DPI T Plus

    Hi
the T-Plus isn't a submerged drive. Granted it looks that way but, the rear will rise up when running. The prop ends up half in the water and surface driveing. Its a three point hydro. Even though the boat is faily large it should run great with the power setup you are intending to use. They can run in the lower 30's with a good 700 and 12 cells. Mid 30's to 40mph should be possible with the way you want to go. In other words ,about as fast as the Super V. It would be much more stable than the Super V at these speeds . If you raced against them you would finnish, while many of them were upside down.

Great to hear I don't have to modify the drive-going to see the boat Wednesday-hope it looks good. Do you think I can use an sv prop or should I go smaller? Thanks for the help.
