    Layout suggestions needed

I am done with the building process and am trying to configure where this HOT MESS of junk should go. I would like to keep the packs side by side but I dont wanna mount the esc's ON the motors. The servo and rx are where they must be. The config you see puts the cog right where it should be but there isnt much room for adjustment. ANY ideas would be great... pics of current similar setups would be even greater! the wiring is not a problem as I can hide them when everything is set. thanks for any help...

on my cat, sea terror, twin motor setup similar to yours, i have my twin stack battery packs side by side and a "T" platform made out of 3/32 Balsa epoxied to water proof with velcro starps to hold both ESCs in place.
the "T" platform seperates the packs.

This is the current set up on my twin Jolly for what it is worth.
By mounting the batteries side by side just ahead of the c/g (30 %) I figure I can move them back and forth a little for trim adjustment.
I can also choose to mount them down low in the sponsons, if the lower c/g helps handling, or up on the tunnel away from any stray water.
I can also mount 4 packs if I want to run all day !
        Graham.

Maybe just the batteries on the center portion of the deck?!
Placing the ESCs in the sponson with the motors, that way it gives you plenty of room
to move the pack around for CG, leave them side by side and even the possibility
            of adding more cells later...

Mike with those light & small esc's I would stick them to the gunnels up & out of possible harm from water damage. I am in agreement with the SXS placement of the packs. Pop the servo off and relocate it to either side or foward. In my little cat I have it all the way up front. It's not hard to rig a long pushrod or set up a couple cables. Easy for me to say right LOL. Looks like you are close to being done...YeeHaa

To be honest I don't know yet.
I originally set this boat up with twin Feigao 8XLs and 2 X 12 IB3800 cells, but it was overpowered and overweight and handled like a pig.
With the twin Ammos it should still have heaps of power and the 2 lipo packs are only a fraction of the weight of 12 NiMH cells.
I'm looking forward to finding the time to finish the refit and give her a test run.
