    6s amp draw question

Im trying to get my buddy into boating so i sold him my super vee hull and hardware for 50 bucks. He is a heli guy so has a spare 500 outrunner motor at 1550 kv and two 6s 3000 mah 20 c packs to run in parallel. Gonna start with an x437/3 and a turnigy 120.

Being a 4s guy myself i don't know what kind of amp draw to expect from a set up like this. Is the motor gonna need a water cooled mount because it is outrunner or will it be fine without water cooling?

Is this set up gonna work? is 6000 mah enough for 6s? He already got the seaking 120 from hobby partz ordered today. Is that going to be okay as it is not a HV esc. the 120 is rated for 6s but that is the max.

I expect the set up will be a bit on the heavy side but should have the wattage for it not to be an issue.

he went ahead and ordered the watercooled mount from here. and 5.5s for the motor. Also he told me Hobbypartz says that the esc's bec works on 6s, i told him to run an external pack or bec though. Can he use the BEC. Esc is a seaking 120 not a turnigy 120 like in the OP

found on hobbypartz.com, "2.7 Swtching mode built-in BEC has a very powerful output even working with 6 cells lipo battery."
