Electric Tunnel Hull Outboards BESIDES the Stiletto?

I do like the Stiletto. But, I was wondering, are there other RTR or ARTR electic outboard tunnel hulls out there?

I have a Dumas HotShot .45 that I built many years ago. I've thought about trying to convert that hull over to electric. I see boats like the Top Speed from Aquacraft and the VS1 and wonder if they are convertible or if doing so would would be more trouble than its worth.

Just curious about other choices that may be available. Suggestions?

The photo below I found on the Internet a while back of the Top Speeds. Nice looking boats! Mike G. there on the left. I've gotten to talk to him at Toledo and another couple places. Nice guy.

If you do quick search for VS1 or Topspeed you will find that many have been converted sucessfully.

      Later,
      Mike

On a side note, I will be down in Indy next weekend for the B10 Tourney. I also used to live in Indy... Man I love that city!

I converted a VS-1, easy, just had to make a waterproof centre box for the battery and esc where the fuel tank would have gone. Even used the included servo mount and steering cables.
Finished it at the end of the season last year, ran fine the couple times I got it on the water before freeze up. Will be a real blast once it's dialed in and have the right prop figured out.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Here's the Hot Shot .45 tunnel hull I have. Not sure what size motor unit I'd get for this if I did convert it to electric?

I built this in the early 1980's! I ran it for two summers and then sold the 7.5 engine to get another R/C airplane which was my main intrest at the time. I loved the boat, but where I was living near Knoxville, TN I was alone running boats on Norris Lake. I'd say, "wow, that's cool!" and there was no one there to hear me.

I've kept it all these years because it was a labor of love. It was painted with K&B Superpoxy as I recall. Yes, the forks did find a pontoon boat to puncture once upon a time.

I really like the idea of the Aquacraft VS1 conversion idea. Sounds pretty straight forward.

One of my buddies has one of those, Maybe he'll chime in, I think he's running a 3674 Leopard on 6s. He has a build thread on it, his username is kendt.

+1 on the PS295. I have one and it will make you happier by far than the rest. HERE's the thread
