    OSE cooling jacket on Ammo

Have any of you guys fitted the OSE cooling jacket to the Ammo motors ?
I have just tried on two of my motors, one was successful after a struggle but on the second one of the O rings got damaged even with lots of lube.
It appears the the end housing of the motor is slightly bigger in diameter than the case which makes it a real tight fit to get the jacket on.
Once past the end housing the fit in the case is perfect.
The original O rings are almost 2mm thick so I am going to try again with 1.5 mm O rings.
I'm not being critical of these excellent cooling jackets, just passing on what I have experienced.

I use those cooling jackets on 5 boats now.
i do have one on an Ammo 2300kv...fits perfect.
Maybe you're doing this already, but here's what I do:
Remove all the decals from the motor and use goo gone to remove any sticker residue.
Spray the motor can (protect the holes) and inside of the jacket with Windex and slide the cooling jacket in place - wipe off excess Windex and you're done...it was tight, but i think it'll work if the o-ring is set in the groove, and the jacket is squarely aligned when you press it on.

      Hi Corey
They are great cooling jackets, i have them on 4 motors now.
On the last one that put up a real struggle I tried all sorts of lube, but not Windex.
Replacing the O rings( which I had damaged anyway ) with ones that were only 1.5 mm thick solved the problem and the jacket is now installed perfectly.

Seal Imports Ltd. ( Thats in Penrose, Auckland, New Zealand )
As the name suggests, they sell every imaginable seal and O ring.
If you can't find a seal you need locally, give me the specs and I'm sure they will have it, and I can mail it to you.
          Regards
          Graham.
