    Help with deep v conversion

Trying to convert a brushed motor boat to a brushless. It is a 7 year old plastic hull called the Super Hawaii which was a champion offshore boat. Boat is 36 inches long and 8.5 inches wide. The problem is once it hits 25 mph it becomes unstable, goes into a death woble and tries to come out of the water. Tried several things but no improvement.

    Here are the details:
    Pro Boat 1500 kv motor.
    Tried M445 and P220 props.
Trim tabs are 1.5 inches. Settings from level with hull to 1/8 inch down.
It is a deep V hull.
    Batteries: Venom 5000 50c
Tried adding extra weight by taping in 2 NiMh batteries.

    Any suggestions?

Maybe the boat is just not designed to run at the speeds of a brushless?

Try adding some stabalizer fins either side of the transom, also if you have a stinger or adjustable mount, give a little negative trim and if you can, shim the drive for a bit of side thrust, to counter the boat wanting to prop walk the rear.
just a thought, i have a little NQD high wind plastic hull, running a 2881kv inrunner on 4s. Dam thing hammers and is unstable also. But these mods helped alot. also test your boat in dead calm water to attain its habbits better. Running in a little chop will see it hopping all over the place. Nearly got my set up dialed. funny when people think its just a toy boat, but then goes like a bat out of hell !

Thanks for the input. I will give it a try. I never expected it to be as fast as my Miss Geico, but was hoping for 30's. If it doesn't work out I will just buy a hull and move all the hardware.

        Thanks again.
