Well, I've been out of the game for 6 months or so, and it's time to starting looking back into finishing my blackjack26 dual. Question is regarding motors....anything new and cost effective out there? Going to be powered by 2 t120, spinning x442 props, on 4s. I've been looking at the new black can motors from hobby king, they were just coming out when I took my leave of absence. What's the verdict on those suckers? Price seems to be pretty good. I'd be looking at a 36mm can, something in the 2200-2500kv range. I have a set of x447's too, but those are probably gonna be too big. Any thoughts?

You dont need big motors for that boat to get it hauling.................. I have purchased and ran the new Turnigy motors and they are very good........especially the 4 polers like I have.
I'd recommend a couple of these..............it'll still be ballistic. The "B" in the middle of the model number means 4 pole.

Good to hear the new ones are good motors. I'd rather spend the extra $15 or so over the gold can motors to have a more solid one. The ones you linked to are a 28mm can. I'm looking for a 36mm can just because I already have the water jackets.
On the ESC end, would it be worth while for me to go with 2 t180's over the t120's? It's $50 more for the pair, which doesn't bother me, but they are quite a bit bigger and heavier. Won't that affect the overal performance of the boat?Comment

You can run a couple of these for 36mm cans........................and i have numerous Gold cans and they are great motors with vented endbells as well.
