    Equivalent inrunner size to outrunner

I was wondering if anyone knows what would be an equivalent inrunner to the turnigy H3126 2200kv motor? Thanks

    Maybe a Leo/Turnigy 3674 or 4074

I've just brought two 3126's for the money and size I think they are awesome motors, why would you want an inrunner?

I would not say that the Turnigy 3126 motors are comparable to the much larger Leopard motors at all. Similar-sized outrunners have been substituted for 4-pole Aquacraft and ProBoat motors with a similar Kv - these small inrunners are closer to the little outrunners in performance and efficiency. HK says max 1500 watts for the Turnigy 3126. The Leopards are rated much higher - 2400 watts for the 3674 and 2600 watts for the 4074. Not even close.....

So it's more like a 3650-3665 sized motor of the same kv?

Fair comment, I just looked on HK which lists the 3674 2200kv at 1330w max which must be a typo, makes sense as its a much larger motor as you say.

outrunners have more torque having the magnets and therefore leverage farther away from the central axis, thus they can spin a larger prop.
assuming they can spin a larger prop at the same amperage, they wouldn't need to be the same wattage.

                2 pole 3674 around 1500W

                4 pole 3674 around 2400W
