    DF33 Issues

I am trying to iron out an issue I have with my DF33. I built this boat up over the last couple of months and it just
    not want to cooperate.

The boat has been calibrated to my transmitter and sounds like it is spinning up fine unloaded. When I launch it
into the water it moves out with great power until I nail it. Then it goes into "limp mode". Seems like about 25% of
what the motor is capable of. Do esc's have current limit capabilities? It seems to be going into some type of protection mode.
    Timing issue?? Help!

    1.) Delta Force 33
    2.) Leopard 4074 2000 kVA
    3.) Hobbywing 120A esc.
    4.) Flysky FS-GT2 Radio
    5.) Octura M445 B/S/P
    6.) .187 Octura flex.009.jpg004.jpg005.jpg

4s2p Have tried many batteries. Taken them out, put them in other boats and ran fine.

the ESC is calibrated to the transmitter?
the Low voltage cut off is turned off?
the batteries are at least a 30-35C rating?
the batteries are at least a 4000mah rating?

just a few things that need to be answered to see what might be going on.

        please let us know

        thanks

You are probably pushing that esc to it's limit try a smaller prop and see what that does.

The esc has been calibrated to the transmitter. Today I calibrated it 3 times.
ESC is set for 4 cell operation. Beeps 4 times when bat is connected.
              Batteries are 40C 4000mAh.
I know this setup is pushing this esc. But it seems like it would TRY. I have many boats and setups but this is weird.

Think it may be the LVC , as I had the same trouble With my T120 when I was new to the hobby . Just reprogram it off & hopefully that makes your boat fly. ....

You need a better speed controller. 120 is not enough. Don't even try it again unless you like smoke and stink.
                  prop?

Ha! I understand this esc could smoke at any second. But I just wanted to get her wet!!!! Maybe it is operating in LVC. This esc is very limited in
parameters for operation. It is basically a POS, but I had it laying around and thought it would at least plane the boat off.

Install a 180 amp speedo. Also, move your trim tabs closer to the stinger. Remove the turn fins too.

Why would you want the LVC to be off? Is that not the reason to have a Lipo capable esc??

Thanks for the info guys. I guess basically this esc belongs in a SV27 on a good day!! Oh yeah, with the LVC off. Pity.

                              Bingo!!!
Your ESC has a little brain giving you a hint not to use it.
Keep it for a smaller boat or alse .......
