Wiring bypass for eagle tree e-logger v4 150 amp to 300 amp

I have a V4 150 volt e-logger for my Apparition SAW boat & need some help with the wiring for a 250+ amp setup. Here's what I have been told:

Loop 12 gauge wires - both red & black - from the ET ESC side directly to the battery, side bypassing the ET board completely. This will bypass current - about 1/2 and llet the ET run cooler AND double the amp rating to 300 amps.

Then you have to measure the amps with a clamp on amp meter around the batt leads - run the system for about 15 seconds to log the data and compare the amp readings between the amp meter and ET amp log. The ET will have a amp reading about 1/2 that of the clamp on meter.

Connect the ET to your computer, go to "advanced programming", click on "calibrate volts and amps", and enter the amp meter readings & actual voltage readings in the appropriate boxes, and "save".

The result is a 300 Amp capable ET V4 e-logger.

What I need is a wiring diagram of this setup. HELP, PLEASE. JIM

lets see if this works...............Eagle Tree MODDED.jpgEagle Tree V4 mod #1.jpg

wire it up just like in the pictures.
    It works a treat

all you are actually doing is paralleling the wiring going from one end of the red wires on the ET to the other end . same goes for the black wiring also.

Thanks Carl. What size are those bullet connectors?
PS: Don't know why the pics are so small. I click on "go advanced", click on "manage attachments", then on "add a file". If the pic you download is large enough it should work. OSE automaticly downsizes my 1+ meg pic files to save storage space.

            those are 8mm connectors.
I have made other sized adapters for the 5.5 and 6mm bullets for other boats.

If you are running 2P setup , measure amp draw from one battery and then double the results.

Thats the mod. Hmm I couldn't upload pics at all earlier today. Sorry I couldn't answer your PM earlier, Just got in from plowing. Had to finish off the transmission in my plow truck. Shifts up to 3rd then won't go up or down any more gears until you stop and put it in park. Has a terrible shudder going into reverse now. One dead 2010 F-550!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

This my mod. I published on RC Groups, you just loop a 12 ga wire from the esc bullet to the batt bullet on both the + and - connection which means about 1/2 the current bypass's the datalogger. Then adjust the advance setting as stated above. It is very simple, not complicated at all.

Sorry about your truck, Mark. For some reason, I can't seem to wrap my head around this. It would be clearer for me if someone could show me a wiring diagram for the V4 150 amp ET to 300 amp setup. The diagrams I've seen show othet ET versions (V2/V3) for air use: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1286603. They show the ET's batt wires going straight to the battery.

I'm probably over thinking this. A picture (wiring diagram) would be worth a thousand words.

LOL if you have bullets on your ET solder a heavy gauge wire from the + battery bullet to the + esc bullet. do the same for the -.
