Are you wanting mounts that accept both sizes?

    Cuz here's a 36mm http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80210

I've put 40mm motors on 36mm mounts and just changed out the rear support ring.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Thats cool! I'm thinking it would also accept motors with larger mount spacing by simply turning the motor and using a broader diameter of the slots. Looks solid enough to use with no rear support ring, but you can always stick a piece of thick foam under the tail as i have done a few times.

Glad you like it. I'll know in a week or so how well this works. If it's close I can modify it to work. Then I'll buy two more for my Mean Machine build.

I was a close tolerance sheetmetal guy for years & can make almost anything with metal. But, with such low prices for mounts etc., my time is filled with tweaking & modifying rather than building from scratch. JIM

Jim, that looks like a nice mount; I might want to kick in to your next order just to experiment with. I'm not yet convinced that a water-cooled mount is necessary or worth the extra plumbing for inrunners although I used one recently on a project boat I just built and the extra water path hasn't lessened the flow.

I've been thinking about this one- needs epoxying together once the angle is determined but simple enough :

The ETTIE mount is a nice one, I have one in my Drifter - most here are out of stock, but ETTI HK has them :

I use an Insane FE 30 mount on my single motor Mean Machine - STRONG but needs a stiff piece of real estate to epoxy it to (I use 3/32" birch ply)
and premium epoxy like West System G-Flex.

Tony, I ordered 2 more today. You can have one of them. If you want more just let me know & will buy as many as you want. Plus, the shipping costs are combined on multiples.

I made a mount similar to Insane FE 30 mount for my single Apparition and it worked OK. I took it out when I re-glassed the hull cuz I was looking for a mount that's adjustable in both angle & height to compensate for stuffing tube adjustments. JIM

I have the 36 and 40mm mounts. Same as I thhink OSE has. They are about the best out there for strength and support.
