    Are you ever satisfied?

Do any of you reach a point with a boat that your totally happy with the setup and speed? I always seem to be adjusting my setup and toying with the idea of trying new motors and stuff. I've just got a venom p1 that has not seen the water yet and already I'm toying with a 3674 2200kv motor!

If it wasn't for all the tinkering I would be looking for something else to tinker with and my wife says we cant do that anymore.

RC anything is an ADDICTION. And, NO!!! You will never be satisfied. Tune, tune, tune. Faster, quicker, better. Repeat. JIM

I became easily bored with my Traxxas EMAXX monster truck, but I do still like running it. To me, boats are just more challenging and more interesting. I bet park flyers are cool also.

Detox, if your EMAX bores you, try a 30cc gasser with a pipe like mine. 20#+ and high 60s. JIM

I have been satisfied with my DF33. It ran great, fast, reliable and handled very well...until the esc puked inside the hull. It was my beater boat and was the most reliable boat ive ever had. GPSed at 64mph. All I had to do was charge batteries, grease the flex and let it eat.

I have the need to try new things all the time. My next idea that I'm toying with is to swap/unload my 1521 1d for a 1.5y and try double the voltage at 60% the amperage.

I agree with the boats being more challenging I love my boats but heli s seem to be even more challenging. Also cool when it's cold or wet outside

I'm really only interested in spec boats, so any speed increase is from tuning not a bigger motor, lots of testing and tweaking. Finding the last couple mph is the hardest!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

                        Hi Guy's ,

Tinkering with R/C F/E Boats is great , though nothing beats tinkering with my my wife !!

Everything in perspective I guess ...

I am never really happy with the performance of my SAW hydro. Im at the 92-93mph and will go to the lake at 6 am and after work on the same day chaseing different adjustments, sometimes 3-4 times a week. To me when they go no faster there is nothing else to do as far as tinkering with it and it will start to bore me. You get used to the speed untill someone else sees it and freaks out over how fast it is !! Oh well ...thats the nature of the hobby I guess !!
PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash
                          H&M 1/8 Miss Bud 73 mph
                          Chris Craft 16 mph

If I had a boat capable of 90mph + that would be awesome , & keep me intrigued for years ( lol ) , now that's what you call " Fast Electric "
