I like the Kintec 2pc. stainless version (less rotating mass). The Octura is good, but lots heavier. Be sure to tighten both of these well or they will slip.http://kintecracing.com/Collets_Couplers.html

yeah i was checking that out before, i realised that ive been sent the 8 to 1/4 instead of the 3/16
i was a bit worrieed that there isnt enough surface area connecting with the flex cable, , but 3 peice collets are so hard to get off!

I have used the 2pc stainless version without problems so far (turning Octura m447 prop, Neu 1527 .5y 2500kv motor, 4s lipo power) . I made sure collet was tightened well.

HIJACK! How do you like this motor? I have a 1D. Goes like hell but it's kind of a hog. I was actually thinking a 1530/.5y might be just right.

Doesn't H&M make a really nice 8mmx3/16 collet? I could swear I had one of those.

Even if it is nice i dont really need much else at the moment, so buying one from them might not be worth it.
its so hard to read their site even when translated for english

Yeah, it is tough. I did find the collet on their site that I was remembering. They really are nice. I don't know if anyone in the states is carrying their stuff these days. I think Fine is still importing from H&M but if he doesn't have one on the shelf who knows when you'll see it.
